Back in 2007 the Friends of Ashanti charity was founded to help build the Gary Marvin Memorial Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana. The hospital was completed in 2017 and is the only referral hospital in the district of Atwima Kwanwoma which has a semi-rural population of 98,167 people.
Gary Marvin was the father of FlipFix founder, Chris Marvin, and great uncle of managing director Ben Marvin. The hospital and the project is very close to the heart of many employees working for FlipFix.
In early September 2021, a large fire broke out in the hospital completely destroying the structure and equipment within. The devastating effects of this fire leave many vulnerable individuals at risk with no medical support or care. Friends of Ashanti are in urgent need of financial support to help rebuild the hospital.
FlipFix have donated a large lump sum amount to help support the rebuild and will continue to offer our assistance throughout the rebuilding process.
If you would like to make a contribution to help those in need you can do so on the GoFundMe link, your generosity is valued and deeply appreciated and will have an immediate impact on thousands of lives.
